The South Point Red Raiders crushed the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave baseball team by a count of 9-3 in Friday's league bout.

The Red Raiders now possess a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Gaston for a Big South 3A bout on Tuesday, May 2. South Point will face a Wildcats team coming off a 18-1 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-6.

Next, the Greenwave face the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 1. Ashbrook will attempt to move on its 2-19 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the bout with a 5-18 record after their 15-1 league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).
