The Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) baseball the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), 5-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Lions now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Covenant Day will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 9-2 league win over Cannon (Concord, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 11-2.

With the defeat, Providence Day drops to 5-10 on the year. The Chargers host Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Buccaneers in a NCISAA Charlotte challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Buccaneers go into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Charlotte Country Day School lost 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC)
