The Nitro Wildcats baseball squad (Nitro, WV), was overwhelmed 9-1 in Friday's league contest with the host Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV)

With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 5-4 on the season. The Huskies host Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to confront the Grizzlies in a non-league contest on Monday, April 7. The Grizzlies come into the contest with a record of 5-3. Nicholas County won 10-9 in their recent non-league contest against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV)

The Wildcats now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league contest on Saturday, April 5. Nitro will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 27-6 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.
