The Hico Tigers triumphed over the host Frost Polar Bears softball squad by a count of 15-3 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Hico will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 16-0 league win over Frost (Frost, TX).

The Polar Bears (2-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Meridian (Meridian, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the 1A Region II District 14 challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, Meridian was routed by Italy (Italy, TX), 27-2, in a league challenge.
