In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Hico Tigers softball team scored a nice 22-0 win over the Meridian Yellowjackets.

The Tigers (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Wampus Cats come into the 1A Region II District 14 match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Itasca notched a victory over Frost (Frost, TX), 26-21, in a league match.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 match, on Friday, March 28. Meridian will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 7-3 record after their 15-3 league win over Hico (Hico, TX).
