In Saturday's league match, the host Montwood Rams softball team scored a nice 15-4 victory over the Franklin Cougars.

The Rams (22-7) will now prepare for their match against Eastlake (El Paso, TX). The Falcons go into the 6A Region I District 1 match with a 20-9 record. In their last match, Eastlake was routed by Eastwood (El Paso, TX), 8-4, in a league match.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Eastwood Troopers (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 match, on Wednesday, April 9. Franklin will attempt to better on its 8-17 season record. The Troopers go into the match with a 25-4 record after their 8-4 league win over Eastlake (El Paso, TX).
