The Parkland Matadors softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Franklin Cougars to 9 in the Matadors non-league win on Friday.

The Matadors now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Valle for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15. Parkland will confront a Conquistadores team coming off a 21-1 non-league win over San Elizario (San Elizario, TX). The Conquistadores record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Franklin moves to 3-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Gadsden (Anthony, NM) to confront the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, February 14. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 0-1. Gadsden lost 12-5 in their recent non-league battle against Hanks (El Paso, TX)
