Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Montgomery upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Bears host Tomball (Tomball, TX) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Saturday, April 9. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 6-3. Tomball won 19-12 in their recent non-league test against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX)

With the defeat, Dayton falls to 10-13 on the season. The Broncos host Caney Creek (Conroe, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region III District 20 test on Tuesday, April 12. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 4-17. Caney Creek won 1-0 in their recent league test against Cleveland (Cleveland, TX)
