New Jersey High School Lacrosse - Hawthorne drops to Pompton Lakes
April 8, 2025: Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442 Pompton Lakes Cardinals (Pompton Lakes, NJ) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team achieve victory over the visiting Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), 6-2 in a league game.
With the victory, Pompton Lakes advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cardinals host Eastern Christian (North Haledon, NJ) to play the Eagles in a Dowling game on Thursday, April 10. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-3. Eastern Christian lost 6-5 in their recent league game against West Orange (West Orange, NJ)
The Bears now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clifton for a Dowling game on Thursday, April 10. Hawthorne will play a Mustangs team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.
