Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw South Mecklenburg's baseball squad knock off Independence by a count of 6-3.

Coming up next, the Sabres play the Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 11. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 16-1 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Carolina Royals (Charlotte, NC).

The Patriots now possess a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlotte Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 12.
