The West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ) baseball got by the visiting Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), 7-6 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Youngker for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 10. West Point will clash with a Roughriders team coming off a 12-3 league win over Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 12-9.

With the defeat, Valley Vista drops to 6-13 on the year. The Monsoon host Tolleson (Tolleson, AZ) to play the Wolverines in a 6A West Valley test on Monday, April 13. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 9-11. Tolleson lost 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Kofa (Yuma, AZ)
