In Friday's league match, the visiting Kankakee Valley Kougars softball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the Munster Mustangs.

The Kougars (13-5) will now prepare for their match against Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN). The Bombers go into the non-league match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Rensselaer Central tipped West Central (Francesville, IN), 15-7, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 2. Munster will attempt to better on its 12-6 season record.
