In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Blacksburg Bruins lacrosse squad scored a tight 14-12 triumph over the Salem Spartans.

The Bruins (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers go into the Seminole challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, William Byrd was edged by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 20-6, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Salem will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 20-7 league loss to Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA).
