The Hastings Saxons baseball squad (Hastings, MI), was overwhelmed 9-3 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Ionia Bulldogs (Ionia, MI)

With the triumph, Ionia moves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Bulldogs host Pewamo-Westphalia (Pewamo, MI) to confront the Pirates in a non-league contest on Monday, May 19. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 14-11. Pewamo-Westphalia won 14-1 in their recent league contest against Fowler (Fowler, MI)

The Saxons now possess a 1-21 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Springs for a non-league contest on Friday, May 16. Hastings will confront a Red Hawks squad coming off a 12-5 non-league win over Allendale (Allendale, MI). The Red Hawks record now stands at 5-21.
