Maine High School Softball - Lincoln Academy gets by Belfast
May 17, 2023: Newcastle, ME 04553 The Lincoln Academy Eagles got by the visiting Belfast Lions softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Gardiner (Gardiner, ME). The Tigers go into the Class B South battle with a 10-1 record. In their last battle, Gardiner nudged Cony (Augusta, ME), 13-0, in a non-league battle.
The Lions now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Winslow for a Class B North battle on Friday, May 19. Belfast will meet a Black Raiders squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Black Raiders record now stands at 3-8.
