Virginia High School Softball - Norcom knocked off by Granby
May 2, 2023: Portsmouth, VA 23704 In Tuesday's league contest, the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) softball team overwhelmed the host Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), by a margin of 20-0.
With the triumph, Granby moves its record to 11-2 on the year. The Comets host New Kent (New Kent, VA) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Thursday, May 4. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 12-3. New Kent won 9-1 in their recent league contest against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA)
In their next game, the Greyhounds play the Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA) in a Eastern contest, on Wednesday, May 3. Norcom will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 10-6 league win over Maury (Norfolk, VA).
