The Coal City Coalers baseball squad (Coal City, IL), was edged 4-3 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL)

With the triumph, Reed-Custer moves its record to 14-10 on the season. The Comets travel to Seneca (Seneca, IL) to confront the Fighting Irish in a non-league contest on Friday, May 9. The Fighting Irish come into the contest with a record of 8-18. Seneca lost 7-0 in their recent league contest against Marquette (Ottawa, IL)

The Coalers now possess a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newark for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 8. Coal City will confront a Norsemen squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Beecher (Beecher, IL). The Norsemen record now stands at 11-14.
