Virginia High School Softball - Bath County held off by James River
May 9, 2025: Buchanan, VA 24066 In Friday's non-league test, the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) softball squad got by the visiting Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA), by a tally of 10-9.
Next, the Knights meet the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 13. James River will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 1-10 record after their 9-8 non-league loss to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).
The Chargers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Rockets go into the non-league test with a 0-10 record. In their last test, Craig County was nudged by Narrows (Narrows, VA), 14-5, in a non-league test.
