The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) and the visiting Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV), observed Lincoln's softball team notch a victory over Lewis County by a final score of 19-9.

In their next game, the Minutemen battle the Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Monday, May 12. Lewis County will attempt to better on its 17-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 11-3 league win over Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV).
