Iowa High School Softball - Columbus held off by Wapello
June 17, 2025: Columbus Junction, IA 52738 The Wapello Indians got by the host Columbus Wildcats softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Hillcrest Academy Ravens (Kalona, IA) in a SE IA Super - North challenge, on Thursday, June 19. Wapello will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Ravens go into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 9-7 league win over Pekin (Packwood, IA).
The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against WACO (Wayland, IA). The Warriors go into the challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, WACO was nudged by Danville (Danville, IA), 15-0, in a non-league challenge.
