In Thursday's non-league contest, the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, Westerly moves its record to 18-8 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) to clash with the Chieftains in a non-league game on Saturday, June 8.
