Georgia High School Softball - White County bounces Gilmer
August 18, 2022: Cleveland, GA 30528 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the White County Warriors (Cleveland, GA) and the visiting Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), witnessed White County's softball squad tip Gilmer by a count of 5-1.
The Warriors now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Dawson County for a 3A Region 7 match on Tuesday, August 23. White County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Bremen (Bremen, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Gilmer moves to 3-5 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Cass (White, GA) to meet the Colonels in a non-league match on Monday, August 22. The Colonels go into the match with a record of 4-3. Cass lost 10-8 in their recent league match against Calhoun (Calhoun, GA)
