Oklahoma High School Softball - Poteau bounces Sallisaw
August 21, 2023: Sallisaw, OK 74955 Spectators at Monday's league match between the Poteau Pirates (Poteau, OK) and the host Sallisaw Black Diamonds (Sallisaw, OK), witnessed Poteau's softball squad prevail over Sallisaw by a count of 12-2.
The Pirates now sport a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Broken Bow for a 4A District 5 match on Tuesday, August 22. Poteau will meet a Savages squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Red Oak (Red Oak, OK). The Savages record now stands at 8-1.
With the loss, Sallisaw moves to 1-8 on the season. The Black diamonds host Checotah (Checotah, OK) to meet the Wildcats in a 4A District 5 match on Tuesday, August 22. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 10-7. Checotah lost 8-6 in their recent league match against Muldrow (Muldrow, OK)
