Oklahoma High School Softball - Checotah bounces Sallisaw
August 15, 2023: Checotah, OK 74426 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Checotah Wildcats (Checotah, OK) and the visiting Sallisaw Black Diamonds (Sallisaw, OK), witnessed Checotah's softball squad prevail over Sallisaw by a count of 12-2.
The Wildcats now sport a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Warner for a non-league match on Thursday, August 17. Checotah will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Oktaha (Oktaha, OK). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Sallisaw moves to 1-6 on the season. The Black diamonds host Muldrow (Muldrow, OK) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A District 5 match on Thursday, August 17. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 8-8. Muldrow lost 12-1 in their recent league match against Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK)
