The Surry Central Golden Eagles topped the visiting Alleghany Trojans volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Golden Eagles face the Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, August 27. Surry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.

With the loss, Alleghany drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to play the Huskies in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Tuesday, August 26. The Huskies come into the outing with a record of 3-0. Ashe County won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC)
