The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Central Chargers (Macon, GA) and the visiting Jefferson County Warriors (Louisville, GA), observed Central's softball team get by Jefferson County by a tally of 5-4.

The Chargers (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Northeast (Macon, GA). The Raiders go into the 1A D-I Region 2 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Northeast was nipped by Bleckley County (Cochran, GA), 15-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 match, on Tuesday, September 2. Jefferson County will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record.
