In Thursday's league test, the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central Chargers (Macon, GA), by a tally of 17-1.

Next up, the Gryphons face the Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 contest, on Monday, September 15. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Golden Hawks enter the contest with a 12-7 record after their 19-8 league win over Jefferson County (Louisville, GA).

The Chargers now hold a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Howard for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15.
