The Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) volleyball knocked off the visiting Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Matadors now possess a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Lanier for a 5A Region IV District 27 bout on Tuesday, September 2. Seguin will clash with a Voks team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Donna North (Donna, TX). The Voks record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Gregory-Portland drops to 14-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 5A Region IV District 29 match on Tuesday, September 2.
