September 11, 2023: Cave City, AR 72521 The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR) and the host Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR), saw Piggott's volleyball squad beat Cave City by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Piggott upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Mohawks host Hoxie (Hoxie, AR) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Northeast bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Hoxie won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR)
The Cavemen now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Walnut Ridge for a 3A Northeast bout on Tuesday, September 12. Cave City will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-1.
