California High School Volleyball - Central East tips Sierra

September 13, 2025: Fresno, CA 93722

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Central East Bengals (Fresno, CA) and the visiting Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA), observed Central East's volleyball team hold off Sierra by a count of 2-1.

The Bengals (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Bears enter the Tri-River contest with a 18-2 record. In their last battle, Buchanan tipped Bullard (Fresno, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Chieftains now own a 19-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mariposa County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. Sierra will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Yosemite (Oakhurst, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 12-7.
