The Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) football edged the visiting Enka Jets (Enka, NC), 20-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) in a 3A/4A West Conference 53 bout, on Friday, September 23. Erwin will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 3-1 record after their 29-15 non-league win over North Davidson (Lexington, NC).

The Jets (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets enter the 3A/4A West Conference 53 bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, A.C. Reynolds nudged North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC), 48-0, in a league bout.
