Mississippi High School Volleyball - Purvis over East Central

September 16, 2025: Purvis, MS 39475

In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Purvis Tornadoes volleyball squad scored a 3-1 win over the East Central Hornets.

With the win, Purvis advances its record to 23-4 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to face the War Eagles in a Class 5A Region 4 test on Thursday, September 18. The War Eagles go into the test with a record of 4-13. Wayne County lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)

The Hornets now have a 14-17 record. They play next when they host Stone for a Class 5A Region 4 challenge on Thursday, September 18. East Central will play a Tomcats team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The Tomcats record now stands at 14-8.
