Mississippi High School Volleyball - Purvis over East Central

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Purvis Tornadoes volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the East Central Hornets.

The Tornadoes (19-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The Bulldogs come into the Class 5A Region 4 challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Vancleave achieved victory over Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS), 3-0, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne County for a Class 5A Region 4 test on Thursday, September 11. East Central will face a War Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Stone (Wiggins, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 4-11.
