Virginia High School Volleyball - Freeman tips Godwin
September 19, 2023: Richmond, VA 23229 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA), saw Freeman's volleyball squad nip Godwin by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA) to play the Jaguars in a Colonial bout on Monday, September 25. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 4-5.
The Eagles now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they host Hanover for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 21. Godwin will play a Hawks squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 8-1.
