The Natchitoches Central Chiefs football squad (Natchitoches, LA), was nudged 42-36 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA)

The Gators (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Benton (Benton, LA). The Tigers go into the 5A District 1 bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Benton was tipped by Huntington (Shreveport, LA), 59-57, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Chiefs confront the Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA) in a 5A District 1 contest, on Friday, September 26. Natchitoches Central will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 66-21 league win over Haughton (Haughton, LA).
