High School Volleyball - Pensacola Area Homeschool bounced by Varsity Opponent
September 2, 2025: , Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Varsity Opponent (, ) and the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL), observed Varsity Opponent's volleyball team top Pensacola Area Homeschool by a count of 3-0.
The (46-149) will now prepare for their contest against Goshen HomeSchool (Goshen, IN). The Blue Blazers enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Goshen HomeSchool was knocked off by Bremen (Bremen, IN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Phoenix battle the Atmore Christian Rams (Atmore, AL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 4. Pensacola Area Homeschool will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league win over South Baldwin Christian Academy (Gulf Shores, AL).
Match Summary
With pep talks from Coach and Jr. #13 Marissa Walker, along with a jig danced by our scorekeeper Cyndi, we managed to gather some energy and co-ordination for the Varsity match; but it was too little, too late, facing a stronger opponent. The Lady Knights had very solid defense and could hit well. Our girls, with Marissa now on the court, were serving better and having a slightly better court game, including some blocking; but we couldn't face up to the Knights' hitting and strong serving. Our girls' feet were a bit stuck to the floor, and we had difficulty getting under the stronger serves and attacks.
