In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Lincoln Northwest Falcons volleyball team scored a 2-0 win over the Grand Island Islanders.

With the win, Lincoln Northwest advances its record to 6-16 on the season. The Falcons travel to North Platte (North Platte, NE) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 5-8. North Platte won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Lexington (Lexington, NE)

The Islanders now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fremont for a Heartland Athletic test on Thursday, September 25. Grand Island will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 11-7.
