Georgia High School Softball - Jackson holds off Pike County
September 21, 2023: Jackson, GA 30233 Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Red Devils now sport a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walnut Grove for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 22. Jackson will face a Warriors squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-10.
With the loss, Pike County falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 2 challenge on Monday, September 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Mary Persons lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodland (Cartersville, GA)
