Georgia High School Softball - Pike County bounces Jackson
September 5, 2023: Zebulon, GA 30295 Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA), 9-3 in a league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Upson-Lee for a 3A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 7. Pike County will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Knights record now stands at 1-10.
With the loss, Jackson falls to 11-2 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA) to face the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 13-0. Prince Avenue Christian won 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA)
