Match Summary
Redlands travelled to Yucaipa High School to face the Thunderbirds. Redlands had some difficulty with the Yucaipa players, particularly the returning seniors. The Redlands Terriers lead in all three sets, but let Yucaipa come back in the first three, losing the second. Ava Reyes had two aces that ended the third and fourth sets. Yucaipa's block game was strong, but ultimately outside hitters Saniyah Sobers, Devi Lucas and pin Kamryn Carpenter wore down the defense with tips, tools, and angled kills. Saniyah Sobers had 20 kills, Devi Lucas had 11 kills, Kamryn Carpenter had 10 kills, and Jocelyn McNairy had 5 kills. Setters Natallia Caravia and Lauren Reiter for the most part were able to read the offense and dig tips by the tall Yucaipa front row. Redlands has almost completed its first round against its Citrus Belt League opponents. Redlands is now 3-1 against its CBL competition.
