North Carolina High School Volleyball - R-S Central can't get by Patton

September 25, 2025: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Patton advances its record to 12-3 on the season. The Panthers host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Monday, September 29. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 13-9. Brevard won 3-0 in their recent league test against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)

The Hilltoppers now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Burke for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Tuesday, September 30. R-S Central will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-13.
