Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) and the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), observed Draughn's volleyball team top R-S Central by a count of 3-0.

The Wildcats (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers enter the Western Piedmont 3A/4A battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Patton achieved victory over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Hilltoppers now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chase for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, September 23.
