Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers come into the Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Hibriten nudged Chase (Forest City, NC), 3-0, in a league test.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chase for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Thursday, September 4. East Rutherford will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-6.
