In Tuesday's league match, the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Cavaliers battle the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A match, on Thursday, October 9. East Burke will attempt to move on its 8-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC).
