North Carolina High School Volleyball - Asheboro over Montgomery Central

Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Blue Comets battle the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A match, on Thursday, September 28. Asheboro will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Grizzlies go into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).

With the loss, Montgomery Central moves to 9-6 on the year. The Timberwolves host North Davidson (Lexington, NC) to face the Black Knights in a Mid-Piedmont 3A contest on Thursday, September 28. The Black Knights go into the contest with a record of 7-7. North Davidson lost 3-1 in their recent league contest against Ledford (Thomasville, NC)
