Texas High School Football - Montgomery holds off Dayton

The Montgomery Bears football squad scored 52 points and limited the host Dayton Broncos to 46 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Bears face the Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 game, on Friday, October 3. Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 1-3 record after their 45-21 league loss to Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX).

With the defeat, Dayton drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Nederland (Nederland, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 outing on Friday, October 3. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Nederland won 56-6 in their recent league outing against Splendora (Splendora, TX)
