In Friday's league game, the Mechanicsburg Wildcats (Mechanicsburg, PA) football team edged the visiting Red Land Patriots (Lewisberry, PA), by a tally of 14-7.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Northern York Polar Bears (Dillsburg, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Keystone bout, on Friday, October 3. Mechanicsburg will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 49-14 league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, PA).
