The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD), witnessed Largo's football squad topple Fairmont Heights by a count of 28-0.

The Lions (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Potomac (Oxon Hill, MD). The Wolverines enter the Prince George's County 2A/1A contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Potomac was outscored by Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD), 40-20, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Hornets confront the Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 2A/1A contest, on Saturday, October 5. Fairmont Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 52-6 league win over McKinley Tech (Washington, DC).
