September 28, 2024: Pittsfield, ME 04967 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) and the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), saw Winslow's soccer squad knock off Maine Central Institute by a score of 3-1.
The Black Raiders (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Warriors enter the Class B - North battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Nokomis by Gardiner (Gardiner, ME), 5-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Huskies confront the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) in a Class C - North battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Maine Central Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Golden Bucks enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 2-1 league loss to Central (East Corinth, ME).
