In Thursday's league game, the General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) football team were victorious over the visiting Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), by a score of 35-14.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 6 game, on Friday, September 13. General McLane will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 40-18 league win over Warren (Warren, PA).

The Oilers (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Bulldogs enter the District 10 Region 6 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Meadville fell by Butler (Butler, PA), 35-11, in a non-league game.
